Our Patch club held it's AGM last week and we always have a guest speaker along to enlighten us. This year we were delighted to meet Riki, who had grown up in our little town.
Riki kept us entertained with wonderful tales of her life in Turkey. She has recently returned from there after several years living amongst the people and working in her field of anthropology. Not only were the stories enthralling but the "show & tell" was amazing. Riki like all of us at The Patch is a lover of fabrics and textiles and her collection of embroideries, weaving and carpets is divine.
We attended to the usual events of electing office bearers, having supper and catching up with each other too of course.
