Robyn invited the Patch girls to morning tea, "wear your best frock, gloves and hat" the invitation said.
Did we scrub up ok?
The morning tea was delicious, tea leaves were read, poetry recited and dainty cakes nibbled.
Some of the ladies shared their interest in botany...........
Thank you Robyn for a very ladylike morning, we had so much fun dressing up in our finery.
Your repast was delicious, the tea divine. We all loved the little "tea" stories and will remember our best manners easily now with your little snippets of advice.
Even Jack the Kelpie is a gentlemanly photo bomber.

A very busy Weekend
We were lucky enough to be visited by Kerry Moore over the weekend. She came to town to teach us THREE quilts. They were all using jelly rolls and we managed to get a pile of them for the workshop.
There was a little homework involved for those of us who wanted to make all three quilts but despite our best plans and detailed organisation we hadn't allowed for a power failure.
Kerry is such a talented tutor and she handled the group working on each quilt similtaneously.
We had colours of all sorts flowing from our machines until the power went out and then we had to have a cup of tea before the urn went cold.
Despite the cooling urn, cold irons and dark and quiet machines our rotary cutters could work and Kerry gave as all the information to finish off the quilts...........and she had a chance to start her long drive home just a little earlier than expected.
Thanks for coming up to Dongara Kerry, it was a great workshop.

What did you do last Saturday?
While some of us were sewing up community quilts at the Patch, others were on retreat putting together even more community quilts but Allison had her head in the clouds.
She had a fabulous experience down at Jurien Bay and came home to us safely.
Congratulations Allison....we are very impressed at your bravery.
